Given the fact that one got a decent sat score (for ex. 1300-1400 range) and high 600s on the sat 2s, would you guys recommend to take SAT 2s or SAT 1 over? Oh and BTW, the question is directed towards the UC system.

..... bump

i use to live i cali (till my junior yr). it depends on the UC

ie Berkeley will have a different view of them than will UCSD or UCSB

right, which college are you considering?
Are you a Californian? Are you ELC eligible though? If you're ELC eligible, then your scores are fine, even for UC Berkeley and LA

I have a 3.92 gpa, 1300 (660 v 640 m) sat score, and having taken the SAT 2s for the first time, I think I did OK, nothing phenomenal (probably around low 700s or high 600s). Having said this, do you guys recommend that I retake the SAT 1 or SAT 2? I have to know this ASAP because I'm going to have to register for the next SATs by the end of this week. I won't know my SAT 2 scores 'till 2 weeks from now. Any advice?

oh and btw, I"m shooting for UCSD, LA, and Irvine, along with Pomona and Claremont Mckenna.

I wouldn't waste my money. Not like it's going to make a difference with your profile.

"Not like it's going to make a difference with your profile."
Is that supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing?

It's not a good or a bad thing. I just think that at this point, if you're going to get in, you're going to get in. If you're not you won't.
