Which are (or have) you taken?
Which would you recommend, etc?

Well I'm good at and love bio, chem, and math, so I took Bio freshman year (after bio honors), I'm taking IIC this December (I took precalc over the summer), and I'm taking chem in June (I'm in AP right now).

Honestly, take whatever you're interested in because you'll enjoy studying for those tests more. I had a blast studying for bio, and it paid off. I knew that world history was considered an easy SAT II (easier than bio at least), but I knew that I would hate myself if I forced myself to study it, even if I'd gotten an 800.

This belongs in the SAT/ACT/Test Prep board, but anyway...

I took Chem, Math II and Spanish (with listening) on the last date (Nov 5). Haven't gotten scores back yet, but based on how I think I did...

Chem, make sure you know the format of the test and practice. Make sure you know the material and everything. This'll be tough if you don't refresh your knowledge.

Math II... this can be tough, but I've heard/read that it has a generous curve. Skip when it'll take too much time to answer. Other than that, you have to be very quick or you won't have time to finish the test. You should be able to figure out what to do and how to do a problem simply by looking at it. I think you need to be very intuitive for it. Do some prepping/refreshing, and review formulas you might not learn normally that will allow you to get an answer with minimal information, without having to take time to figure out rest of the information (area of equilateral triangle knowing only one side, area of square if you only know length of the diagonal, area of a triangle knowing only two sides and one angle, length of diagonal from one corner of a 3D rectangle to another, etc.) Do some practice tests just to get used to it.

Spanish... wow, this was tougher than I thought. Listening was mostly easy (I think it saved me from doing even worse). But since not all Spanish classes teach the same stuff, different people might have different experiences. The one thing that might have screwed me up on this test was not knowing enough vocab. I'd say buy an SAT II Spanish book and just review vocab or something because grammar, you should know after 4 or 5 years of taking the language. I'm just hoping for a 700+ on this, I guess I'll see how I did.

so far i've only taken bio (after freshman yr). it was fine, i didn't do all that well (650) because i literally only studied for it for about 5-10 min. on the way to the test... which was stupid but oh well. i'd suggest taking it if you're going to study, it'd probably be really easy
