SAT 3rd time...Is it okay?

Hey guys

Jan SATS: 1830
Nov SATS: 1890

Composite Score: 1920

Now im going one more time in december for mainly CR and W ..i just want to break a good composite score

Will colleges look down upon this?

nope. the general rule of thumb is to take it no more than 3 times.

^but that doesn't apply for the class of 2010 and above right?

A third time is fine. Contrary to popular belief, nobody really cares how many times you take it. The adcoms have more important things to worry about.

^ unless you take it 20 times.

Just don't take it to extreme :)

but with the new policy, does it matter if u take it 20+ times?

I know some colleges who start averaging the SAT scores after 3 times. So I'd say only 3 times unless you REALLY want a better score. After all, a small change isn't going to affect admissions, so you probably should study a lot before taking the next retake.

the first and second times i took it, i got a 2040 both times
the third time i took it, i got a 2120
the fourth time i took it, i got a 2270

so in my case, the fourth time helped a lot
