Hello I was wondering what books were best for preparing for the reading and writing section of the SAT.
I have had people suggest:
SAT Prep Black Book by Mike Barrett
The College Panda's SAT Writing
Direct Hits volumes 1 + 2
Erica Meltzer's SAT Grammar

Check your local library and see what they have. Our public library system has a wide collection of all preparation books that we spent $0 for that.

Meltzer points this out, but aldaily.com is a great source to practice RC level reading.

And like @LisaCF pointed out, the CB’s blue book & in particular, the tests within it are the best in terms of the material closest to the test. Reviewing your test results will possibly be your best learning. And if you have a guide/coach/teacher to help you figure out “why” you missed them, it’s even better!
