sat/act score good enough for cornell?

Hey everybody! I'm aware that my chances of admission do not simply depend on standardized test scores, but I'm just curious to know whether or not the following scores would be at least advantageous to my application.

SAT:
Reading - 730
Math - 800
Writing - 710
Total: 2240

ACT: 34

SAT II's:
Chemistry - 780
Math - 800

I'm applying to Cornell Engineering early decision.
Say my extracurriculars are decent, would writing a good essay be vitally important at this point? Or do I have a slim chance? Would be a female put me at a vantage?

Additionally, I am retaking the SAT in a month. I was going to retake the ACT as well, but would there be a point in doing that unless I am sure I can score a 36?

Sorry for the multiple questions, any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
