Prompt: Is creativity needed more than ever in the world today?

My Essay:
"Knowledge is limited, imagination encircles the world"- Albert Einstein. One can only do so much with knowledge, but with creativity he or she can do so much more. People today try to do the reasonable thing; however, most of the technology we have is a product of crazy, outside-the-box thinking. This type of thinking needs to be continued. Creativity is needed more than before in this ever-changing, technological generation.
Just a couple of decades ago, if you had suggested computer glasses, robot surgeons, or holograms, other people would reserve a special room for you in a building they like to call "the nuthouse". Many brilliant inventors that we think of today were shunned in their own times, such as, Leonardo da Vinci or even Einstein. But these crazy, creative ideas and people are the ones that have brought our society a feeling of comfort and peace. Nobody is going to make any progress thinking practically and realistically. We would say, "That's too crazy, it won't work." Still, how would they know without ever trying. The Wright brothers, for example, dreamed of achieving human flight. Very few people had ever thought of this, and no one had actually made that dream come true. Many of their colleagues may have called them daredevils or ridiculous. Nevertheless, they did succeed and we call them geniuses. Such a simple, yet creative idea now allows us to travel thousands of miles in just a couple of hours.
I believe, that creative ideas need to be recognized and applauded, not shot down. Because someday, these crazy inventors are going to follow through with their creativity, despite negative input, and make our lives even less burdensome than they already were. Then, people will start to see that creativity is necessary. Who knows, maybe one day we might be able to time travel or teleport.

Any type of input would be great, such as what I did well, and what I did wrong and how I can fix it. Thanks again!!
