Sat > act??

I took the SATs october and did pretty good. I'd say good enough for an ivy league. But I stupidly took the ACTs to try it out, and got a 31 :( (26 science brought me down). It got sent to like 4 of my schools, among them cornell and penn.

Do you think that this 31 will hurt me?? or will only my sat scores be considered for admission???

Also, I'm planning to retake the ACT this saturday. Should I? Is it worth it? Whenever I take practice tests, I am not getting better in science...

I don’t really know why people send their scores before they receive them…that’s risky. But anyway, I think in your case it’s no biggie, since you have a nice SAT score to fall back on. They will overlook the weak ACT score. I don’t know what you got on your SATs, but I don’t think you should retake the ACT unless you know you can do better than your current SAT score. (There’re conversion charts.)

Don’t bother to take it again!! it is impressive enough

i don’t think it matters
penn will just look at your highest scores
they ask for you to send all your scores anyways… sooo if it’s their policy to superscore anyways then hopefully they’ll overlook it 8)

i hope so! i don’t think ill take it again. Im taking practice tests, and i think ill do worse…
