Sat/act

Stanford's website says that applicants must send all SAT (including subject test) scores or all ACT scores. I've taken both the SAT and ACT once, plus three SAT subject tests (once each). My SAT subject test scores are good enough that I definitely want colleges to see them, but my ACT score (34) is better, I think, than my SAT score (2230). Do you guys think it would be against their rules to send them my ACT score and SAT subject test scores, but not my SAT score?

Also, if so, would it just be a waste of money to send them my ACT scores along with my SAT and SAT subject test scores?

You have to send them all SAT scores (1 and 2) or nothing.

though I’m pretty sure they just look at your SAT and ACT and evaluate you based on your higher one.

because my ACT score (34) was a whole lot better than my SAT score (2100) and I sent both.

Just send them both. That’s an excellent SAT score as well as an excellent ACT score. Stanford wants as much information about you as possible, so that they can make a fully informed decision. (Just don’t repeat information, or send them additional rec letters…)
I got a 35 on the ACT, a 2190 on the SAT I, and a combined score of 2260 on my three SAT IIs, and I sent them all. A 2230 can’t really hurt you; that’s still a really good score.
Just remember, scores aren’t everything. Yes, they’re important, but you have to have a lot more in other areas to go along with them if you want to get in!

you are required to send them all
although, i never really knew how they would find out if you didnt
