SAT advice and college help?

Hi I want to go hong kong univ or any college in japan. I know it's very hard to make it in. I got a 1330 on my PSAT and I know that's terrible! I want to raise it up a lot for the actual SAT if that's possible I bought a book and I'm going to study hard. My gpa is 3.4 right now and I take alot of AP classes. I'm a junior right now so I'm taking the SAT in march the 10th. I'm really nervous. Also I am both a citizen of japan and hong kong but I live in america. Can somebody help me?! Please help me and I know I have a lot of work to do to bring my score up!!!! :((((

I don’t know anything about international applications or that stuff, but here’s what I did to up my SAT score quick:

If you have a significantly weaker subject (ie math for me) then choose that one to focus on. It may be less fun, but you have so much more room to improve that improvement will come quicker.

Buy the “Official SAT Study Guide” It’s less that 15 bucks and has a bunch of practice tests and teaches you basic concepts.

Take a practice test (I just took the math sections). Score it and go through the problems you got wrong or didn’t know how to do. Figure out how to do them (or get a tutor to help if you don’t know a lot of material).

Write the concepts/ideas that made you miss the problems in a separate notebook.

Repeat 3 and 4 as many times as you want.

A week or two before the test review your notebook and the concepts. Go back through old tests and look at the problems you missed. Can you solve them now? Try to. If not, review that concept again.

I honestly only did one math section a week (took about half an hour per week). I upped my score 100 points on math SAT doing this in only a few months.

I don’t know Hong Kong’s average SAT score, but remember that ecs count a lot too. I got into my top choice college without perfect SAT marks because of my ecs. It’s not all about academics.

Good luck with your test and college apps process!
