SAT Advice Please!

I took the October SAT for a 2nd time yesterday. However, I believe I did poorly

Cr -8 to -10
Math -1
Writing -1 to -3 Essay: 10-12

I got a 2200 the first time and was aiming for a 700 in CR and possibly a 780-800 in Math and 800 in Writing.

Should I wait it out and see what I got in October or cancel it and take it in November?

bumppppppppppp

you did poorly? please, go out and do EC's.

what exactly does this mean?

Cr -8 to -10
Math -1
Writing -1 to -3

do you mean 80,10,10,10,30?

no....
it means he missed 8 to 10 on CR
missed 1 on M
and missed 1 to 3 on W.

Monkey,

The more you retake the SATs the more it looks like it's your only EC.

hello jan. i was going to retake it for a third time but now i'm reconsidering.

Monkey,

I have a feeling you're a golden candidate for just about ANY college that you apply to. You're SAT scores are rock solid, I'm sure your grades are great, I'm sure you're ECs are great, so, have some fun!

okay. Thanks!

I just retook it a 2nd time to get a 700+ in CR. But since I messed up, Idk what will happen.

O well. lol

okay.... So if I'm sure I got at least 10 wrong in CR this time (last time I got a 670 in CR), should I just cancel my scores and take a shot at November, aiming for 4 wrong??

Or wait for scores? (Cause I think math may have improved 30 points, but that's it).

It sucks cause usually on practice tests, I get 3-6 wrong for CR. =/

bumpppppp 10 char

Any advice???

2200 is a great score, i have no idea why you're worrying. To most colleges, the difference between a 2200 say a 2250 is almost nothing. 2200 to 2300 maybe, but still, if you can score that well, you're already a strong candidate. Just work on your apps now, you have nothing to worry about.

Any more suggestions?

Monkey: From what you think you missed, you probably got around CR~680/M~780/W~790 ... That's a total of ~2250 (+/- about 50). Unless you think you can do extremely better in November, I wouldn't consider it. Besides, assuming you have really stellar grades, you probably would want to apply somewhere top-notch ED/EA with a Nov. 1 deadline. You may want to worry more about your subject test scores, which you have not mentioned.

Well, I have finished all of my subject tests. They're all in.

Just the SAT. I want to improve CR to 700+, which I'm certain I didn't do on the Oct. Test. =/

I guess it was a bad day, cause it usually didn't happen when I practiced.

Should I cancel and try again in November?
