SAT and ACT question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this possible- i have taken 3 SAt2, the SAT Reasoning, and Act. I want to send the ACT and the 3 SAT 2s because they have the higest scores. Will the SAT reasoning score be sent to the schools too.

yea i think all scores are sent if you choose to send any SATs. wut kinda scores are they?

If you send your SAT subject test scores, then they will see your entire report from the collegeboard.

It stinks I know.

darn it..oh well

I know of students who took the SAT Reasoning Test and did not feel they tested well on that exam, and then took the ACT and performed much better,( since some students do better on that form of test), and decided to send the ACT scores instead. If you choose to do this, and you do not want to send your SAT scores, and do not include that information on your college application, you should tell your high school guidance counselor of your plans. I know of students who thought they were submitting just ACT scores, but without their realizing it, their guidance counselor recorded the SAT scores as well. There is a school report that your high school will send out to the colleges you apply to, and your guidance counselor or transcript office will look up your file and record on the sheet where it lists your test scores. The ACT has a box to check off when you register indicating if you want the scores sent to your high school, but the SAT does not. Your guidance counselor or high school transcript office will automatically be sent a copy of your SAT score report from the College Board. So if your intent is to include just your ACT scores and not your SAT scores, I think you should ask your guidance counselor if he or she could record the scores just for the ACT. If you dont ask it is possible both will be sent. I imagine that your guidance counselor will not record the scores if you ask them not to, (some may feel that ethically they feel they should,so you need to check). I do however know of students who were not accepted to colleges and later found out that both their SAT and ACT scores were sent when they had no idea the colleges saw the SAT scores. It could very well be that these colleges wondered why the student did not note the scores of both tests on the application. Many colleges assume that when only the ACT scores are sent that that is the only test the student has taken. Personally I think that for those who have taken both the SAT and ACT the best thing to do is to list both the SAT and ACT scores, and if one does better on the ACT they can leave it up to the college to count the higher of the two forms of the test which they typically do. There is always a risk if one takes both forms of the test, but just sends in ACT scores, that the college might inadvertantly find out ( your high school might even inadvertantly send the SAT scores by mistake) and it will look as if they student is hiding something.
And yes, some students may not realize it, but if they take the SAT II subject tests and do well on them, and want to send them to colleges along with their ACT scores, but have taken the SAT reasoning test and not done as well on that, the colleges will still see the SAT reasoning test scores.
The best advice to anyone really is that before a student takes the SAT Reasoning test or the ACT for the first time, they should take a timed practice test for both the ACT and SAT and see which type of test they do better at. Then, they can figure out if they want to take only the ACT or the SAT. This way, if they take the ACT but want to take the SAT subject tests as well, they can send the scores for both, and no SAT Reasoning test scores will be sent since the test was never taken.

The College Board cannot send your scores to your high school if they don't know what high school you attend. They don't know that unless you tell them.

Not all colleges will use test scores off your transcript, since they are unofficial.
