Hey guys! I’m new here so I apologize if this is in the wrong discussion feed.
When I originally took the SAT last May, I scored a 1400 (680 CR+W, 720 M, 21/24 Essay). I also scored a 32 on my ACT (with a 28 for the essay) the following week. I used the 32 when applying to the more selective colleges in my Early Action Pool (Boston College, Northeastern, etc.) and sent both to less selective schools. Recently, I retook the SAT in November and scored a 1490 (740 CR+W, 750 M), and was wondering if I should send this score to my Early Action schools as means of increasing my chances of admission (such as at BC or NU), or if it wouldn’t matter anyways because they have probably made a decision by now.
Also, when I apply to Ivy Leagues (specifically Cornell, Brown, or Yale) during the Regular Decision round, I was wondering if I should send both the 32 and the 1490, or just the 1490. I didn’t retake the essay, so should I send both my SAT scores even though the 1400 is low by Ivy League standards? Please let me know what you think would improve my chances the most!
