SAT and ACT scores are bad? Don't correlate

Hello.

I will be a freshman this August, so I have already gone through the college admissions process. I would like to take the SAT or ACT one more time this fall so I can be eligible for more scholarship during the second semester, since I missed out on merit based awards.

I took the SAT and received these following scores.
Critical Reading:700
Math:620
Writing: 630 with a 10 essay.
Total 1950

I also took the ACT and received these following scores:
Math:32
Reading:34
English:22 with a 9/12 essay.
Science:24
Composite: 28.25

As you can see I did extremely poorly on SAT math, and the ACT English and Science.

Why are my ACT math and SAT math scores polar opposites? MY act math puts me in 97th percent tile and my SAT math puts me in the 80th percent tile.

My ACT reading is 99th percent tile and my SAT reading is 94th. Why is there such a disparity?

Also which test should I take, and how can I improve my horrible SAT math score, and my abysmal ACT English and Science scores?

28=1860

Therefore your SAT is better (by 90 points). Why is there a discrepancy?

The SAT Math is trickier and the ACT Math is straightfoward.

Get a prep book (like Kaplan) and study. IMO (I do PSAT/SAT prep) the SAT Writing (&ACT English) section is the easiest place to gain points. Just go through the book and memorize the certain types of grammatical errors they always test on. SAT math is also easier if you practice and know the “tricks.” Focus on the SAT --since your score is better and you won’t have to worry about the Science section-- and follow the tips in the practice book.
