SAT and ACT Submission

Hello, my SAT and ACT scores differ, so should I submit only the higher one or should I submit both?

SAT - 1540/2150
ACT - 35
SAT II - pending (but I am not very confident about how the testing went)

Thank you for any input.

Since Harvard requires the SAT subject tests they'll see your SAT1 whether you like it or not. Send your ACT as well - it's can only help you.

mathmom is correct. They will see both. Definately send that ACT score. Is that ACT with writing?

What was the breakdown for your original SAT? You can make up a creative excuse to put that SAT score in a better light.

In addition, if you score so well on the ACT, why can't you just retake the SAT? If you have a 35 and a 2200+, with 700+ SAT IIs, that original SAT score can be overshadowed.

you got a 1540 without the writing. That's almost just as good as your ACT score, since writing on the SAT is sometimes inconsequential. I think you're good to go

Did you get your SAT IIs? My son got his, happy with the Math 2 and Chem, 800 and 780, unsure of the Physics 730. Since Harvard is his only school that needs three, I think he's just going to let it ride. Do all three need to be over 750 to have a shot? ACT is 36, SAT I 800 math, 750 Writing, 740 CR, for 2290.

My D got in with these SAT 11, 700, 710 and 730 - so you definitely don't need all over 750. The test scores are just one of many factors, and as long as they are in the ballpark (and your son's are great), I would concentrate on other things that help - essays, ECs, grades etc.

Thanks so much, leonine! I've asked that several times, and you are the first to actually answer.

Yeah I'm in a similar situation I think...I got a 690 in math II, which is really worrying me. However, I got a 780 in literature and 760 in US history. I don't plan to major in anything math-related, so is this going to be a really huge deal? My ACT composite is a 34 and my SAT superscore is a 2210.
