SAT and ACT together?

Hey guys. I've applied ED to Duke and, because I wasn't sure how I was going to do on either test when I took sent them out, Duke has both my SAT and ACT scores:

SAT I (superscore): 680 CR/690 M/720 W (1370/2090 total)
SAT II: 800 Math IIC/780 U.S. History/660 Latin

ACT: 33 Composite
35 English
35 Math
34 Reading
29 Science

Obviously, my ACT score is much better than my SAT score, but Duke received both. Had I known that my SAT would be that much weaker than my ACT, I would have only sent out my ACT. Now that Duke has both scores, is it going to hurt me that I didn't just send out my ACT? How are they going to weight my SAT score with such a stronger ACT present?

well, you would end up having to send your SAT scores to duke anyways because they require 2 SAT II subject tests. So either way, they would end up seeing both scores.

it didn't help you. I just sent in my ACTs to Duke. They will probably look at the stronger score though, the scores are close enough that the SAT should bring up any red flags, IMO

Hamchuck, if you send in the ACT, Duke doesn't require you to send the SAT II tests.

I know the SAT score won't help me, but is it going to hurt me?

bump bump bump
