<p>Is it okay to just take the ACT and not the SAT? I heard ACT tests you on your knowledge, not skills, while the SAT tests your skills. Would Ivies and other prestigious schools care at all if I don't take the SAT? It doesn't affect my chances, right? Thanks :)</p>

<p>It won’t affect your chances at all. You just need to take the ACT with writing.</p>

<p>All colleges accept either the ACT or SAT. Look up whether you need some other tests (SAT IIs) or need to report all you tests. It varies by school</p>
