SAT and ACT

For admission in good schools, do you have to take everything? (SAT, ACT, SAT II)

Can you take just one with SAT II's?

ACT with SAT II's?

SAT with SAT II's?

All colleges accept the ACT and SAT and view them equally. Some colleges may require you to take SAT II’s in addition to the ACT/SAT. There are many misconceptions that the SAT is widely favored over the ACT espcially on the east coast; This notions are not true. Take which test gives you a higher score and submit it to colleges.

Also some colleges will take the ACT with writing in lieu of SAT IIs. They would explicitly state this on their web site.

I most recently seen universities that will look at the ACT and SAT ( some require extra parts for SAT). I myself only took the ACT, and was planning on registering before August 7th. As one who qualify for a fee waiver ( this would be my second) I can not get in contact with my counsler ( school said she doesn’t report until late August), and knowing the other ACT test isn’t until October 24th, I likely will be taking the SAT instead since I need everything in by November 1st ( this is best for financial reasons) and waiting October 24th would just be too risky.
