Well, I took the SAT last week. I missed about a page of around 5 questions because I was spazzing out pretty bad from all of the anxiety. However, I've done the test once and think I'll be about 100 times more confident the next time I take it. My question is, will newer scores count? I'm pretty sure I got a 6 on the essay, but what if I take the test over and get a 4, or 5? Does the previous 6 count?

On APs, is self studying a smart thing to do? I'm taking US History and Biology AP classes next year(senior year) since most schools around here don't offer other classes. A school in another district about 45 minutes away offers a variety of AP classes, including European History, Government, Microecon., pretty much everything. Should I just get books on the exams I want to take at the end of next year and study them summer + school time?

Most colleges will take your best score from each section (M, V, W), so they won't use your best essay grade, per se, but they will consider your best overall writing score.

As for self studying, its definately possible - many people on this board have done it before. However, have you considered any other options such as taking courses at a community college, or taking the AP course online?

Yeah, I should be taking a class or two this summer at the local technical college. I'm doing my final english classes there next year too. How do the online courses work?

Ehh.. on the online course. I don't recommend online courses at all unless you have the discipline of a monk. I'm the type of person who won't do anything unless I was pushed. I actually tried an online course... that failed quickly.
