After a certain SAT score, do schools care anymore? Like the Ivy Leagues. Would a person with a 2400 SAT really have a great upperhand over someone with a 2100-2200?

simply put: NO

Of course someone with a 2400 has a significant advantage over someone with a 2100-2200. Those are pretty different scores. The Ivies have to maintain there averages, and they do it with high scorers. Of course, they also like to gloat over how many 2400's they rejected, so I think there is little advantage of a 2400 over, say, a 2370 or 2380. 200 points is a big difference. Then there is the whole concept of strategic admissions, in whioch case it might be better to have a 2250 then a 2330 or so, because the non-Harvard college thinks you will get into Harvard and matriculate there.

uh, 2400 is a big difference from 2100. but if you mean like, if there's a difference between 2360 and 2280, then probably not. but this is just one factor out of many. and remember, it's not like all the 2300s get in above all the 2200s first, or even the 2100s for that matter.
