Even More Concerning is only about 10% of blacks score higher than a 550
and 3% score at 250 or below on each section!
250 is hard to imagine…thats almost worst than just guessing on every question with a normal probability of 25% or 20% per answer

a 250 seems to indicate moderate or severe retardation
I cant even imagine being that stupid
esp for the math section
some of them are as simple as

3+x=8
what is x?

how can anyone get that wrong??
why the hell are they taking the SAT anyway
anyone with below a 340 does not belong in college anyway

Its not because of the test, its because most Asian people actually study for the test, while most Black people just give it without any preparation.

Many african americans will take it because they have to(coach requires it, school pays for them to, etc) and sit there and guess. I’ve seen it. The ones that do well aren’t really represented in the statistics because the great percentage that just take it because they were forced to just guess on everything.

Definitely environmental inequality as well as varying expectations; there are thousands of articles/threads devoted to trying to explain that. Read those; I won’t even try to start.

Definitely NOT the way the test (especially CR) is structured. Anyone realize that almost half of SAT tests have a CR article involving black women (or at least African American/feminist history in general)? I’m sure Asians would be less interested in reading about that than an African American would (I’m Asian, and not to be racist, but it does bore me very much), so if the test is biased racially/sexually at all, it’s toward females and/or blacks. Yet their scores on average are lower than their general counterparts.

About grades, that’s clear in most schools. In my school, I don’t believe there’s an African American ranked in the top 20, and (counting Middle Eastern as Asian) about 15 of those are Asian.

NOTE: I don’t mean to be offensive to anyone; I’m just pointing out some stuff I noticed.
