SAT/AP Question

I was just wondering is it common to do better on AP exams than on SAT subject tests because I got a 4 on the AP Chem. exam, but only scored a 610 on the subject test?
Also, is the Math 2 subject test easier than the math section in the SATs because I got a 730 on the Math 2, but only a 680 on the math section?
Thanks!

AP exams and SAT Subject Tests are entirely different exams and, as such, performance on one cannot prognosticate a score on the other.

The math level 2 subject test is a straightforward mathematics exam that tests your knowledge of, well, mathematics. The SAT reasoning math is really a logic-test under the guise of mathematics.

However, the curve on the math level 2 makes it significantly less difficult to attain the same score as the reasoning test (you can leave 7 blank on the math level 2 and have an 800 -- on the reasoning, 7 blank is a 690).
