*TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama’s annual A-Day Game will be televised live to a national audience by ESPN on Saturday, April 17. A-Day is the 15th and final practice of the spring with kickoff from Bryant-Denny Stadium scheduled for 2:00 p.m. (CDT). Admission will once again be free to the public.

*

So, ESPN will televise the Crimson Tide’s A-Day game this Saturday to a national audience (again!) Roll Tide!

2 pm Central Time Zone.

H wants to see the new kicker that I think will be there. And, he wants to see the style of the new Offensive Coordinator. Since many of those who signed on Nat’l Signing Day enrolled in Jan, they will be there as well. :)

If you or your child wil be going…BRING sunscreen and use it liberally - reapply, reapply.

I leave Wednesday for Tuscaloosa…can’t wait. Will be there Friday morning in time for breakfast at Ramma Jammas and dinner at Mugshots (although it might get moved to Chuck’s Fish) and then off to the Luke Bryan concert. Will be serving up pancakes at the ADPi house on Saturday morning. If anyone is in town and wants breakfast it’s a great fundraiser to benefit the Ronald McDonald house…they even have “to go” boxes!!! Goes from 9 am to 11am cost is $5.
I too want to see the new kicker. did anyone look at Cade Fosters last kicks on Saturday’s scrimmage…looks like he is still working on consistency…

Wish we could be there, but youngest son is working. Hopefully the youth soccer games that he will referee will be in the morning, so he does not miss any of A Day.

Like M2CK said, invest in sunscreen … or you will be very sorry you didn’t.

Thank you so very much for the link Mom2CK! I need to do a 7:30 am drop off of my D at Foster Auditorium for auditions and the traffic flow maps were very helpful. I hadn’t planned anything for the early morning but seeing the street closures I’m now planning to park at Moody with the free parking pass and go have coffee and read a book at Starbucks at the Ferg. At 9 am I can shop at the SUPe Store, then stroll along through the vendor tents. That should put me back near Foster by 11:00, at which time first cuts are being made. We’ll see what happens from there.
Thanks again!

we’re going to A-day, but want to TiVo as well.

I’m having a hard time finding it to record. Has anybody found it? We have DISH and I’m not seeing it. I thought ESPN was broadcasting, but another site said CSS is, and I can’t find that. Besides, I didn’t think CSS was a national network and the A-game was going to be a national broadcast.

We are here in town for cheering tryouts but I don’t thing we are going to the game. I think we are going to hang out and just take it easy so that my daughter is nice and well rested for the first night of tryouts at 7 tonight. We are staying at Home Towne Suites and it is packed with people here for A Day. We might try to go over to walk around the quad and see the vendor tents though.

OK, I can’t find on our DirectTV or Comcast schedules where this game is being televised. I see it as an upcoming show on espn3, but I’d rather watch it on TV than stream it on a computer. Does anyone know where it’s being televised nationally? I don’t see it on ESPN.

I hope we can find the channel it’s televised on too. My boys want to start following the players since their sister will be heading to Bama in the fall. My soon to be 10 year old wants a football jersey. Is there a good player for a 10 year old to emulate, and will we be able to buy that jersey in a kid’s size?

We’re in the midwest and we don’t get CSS. I suspect it is not actually being televised nationally, and it’ll have to be ESPN3. We have an internet ready TV and a couple game systems that connect to the internet, but do I know how to work any of it? Of course not. I need a teenage boy - my D knows less about electronics than I do, which is saying a lot.

Had a great time at the A-Day game. Both D and S played with the MDB as guests and had a great time. D is ready for band camp to start! DH came away with the raccoon tan; I told him to wear a hat! : )

Perfect day for A Day…5th largest crowd. Served Pancakes at DD’s sorority, then off to watch 2011 co captains do hand and cleat print. Were lucky enough to have seats in the third row…for the game (oh had Dreamland bbq nachos…YUM!!!). Mugshots for dinner and then DD’s sorority had a Casino night. DD had the most chips at the end of the night and so she won a $100 Visa gift card. DD, her boyfriend, sorority sisters and some other boyfriends are currently at Delta Sig where Lee Brice is playing. Luke Bryan was at the Amphitheater last night…I do not look forward to the 11 1/2 hr drive home tomorrow. Visited my sorority briefly…have heard they are need 3 house moms at various sororities on campus…called DH…hmmmm I think I might stat :)…just kidding!!
Looking for #15! Roll Tide!
