Well, I haven’t done any practice tests, so I hope to go through some of the Kaplan ones.

How similar would you say literature is to critical reading passage reading questions? For me, the style of answer choice seems to be similar: the right answer tends to be camouflaged by a little mixing up of words and the indirect riddles of the Collegeboard.

Literature seems much more subjective and, perhaps in turn, harder (at least for me).

@ Silvertutle

About the biology Ecology section, I actually did both sections when i took the bio and missed 1 more question in the ecology section because i over-thought about it.
Don’t know about the curve since i bubbled for Bio-M at the beginning, so… i thought i’d just drop that in.

Me and another one of my friend did both sections (though he did this last year) and chose after we finished checking the answers, and we both got 800… so if you really can’t decide what you want to take, that might be an option. (speed might be an issue, we’re both fast science test takers and we both had about 15-20 min to check our answers after finishing both sections, so… its up to you)

Do you think is it college board had some mistake?

perhaps… how many questions do you think you missed after you took the test?
If you do think it their mistake, call for a regrade immediately.

How many can I get wrong / skip to get a 750?

^ Here is a curve: [SparkNotes: SAT Subject Test: Biology: Scoring the SAT II Biology](<a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides)

Ha ha, I just realized now that I completely misread the question posed in post #14. Sorry about that. :)

I can afford to get 6 wrong. That isn’t too horrible.

It seems like a lot of people got surprise their low scores, not sure is it worth to spend $50.00 to regrade. plus you won’t know the result in at least three weeks. should I retake it in june?

I don’t think that scale is correct, the scaling this time seems much more steep.

What do you think the curve for Biology E looks like? I got a 790 and I think I missed a couple questions.

I think the curve for this one is slightly nicer, i’m actually not sure because no one bubbled in Bio E that i personally know of (well one person did, but i don’t know their score yet lol… stalking fail )

I did both sections and E was probably easier, just make sure you finished reviewing the whole sat II bio book if you’re going to take E, because there might be 1 or 2 random questions about like classical conditioning/oporant learning, and/or strange ecology questions.

Yeah, I had heard that the E curve is easier, which is partly why I chose it over M. Just curious, what book did you use to prepare? I used Barron’s, and the practice tests were a LOT harder than the real thing. (Which kind of had me freaking out for the test, but once I saw the test questions, I relaxed a lot, so I guess it was a good thing)

the E curve is it always easier than the M? or just this May?

yeah… which curve is easier? i thought M had the easier one???..

at least not this time!

does M usually have the higher curve?

E is typically -3 = lowest 800, and M is typically -4 = lowest 800.

I know I got at least 5 wrong, and got a 770 on Bio E. Seems about right. Very mad that obscure stuff appeared on the test (Active/passive immunity, histamine).
