SAT Biology E/M with NO Biology AP credit

I'm a sophomore. My school has no AP courses, but I just completed my Biology I honors class with an A.
I want to take the SAT Biology M test, but when should I take it? Should I wait to take it after taking Biology II? What books do you recommend for this test? Thanks!

You can take it this year. Honestly, the book seems really easy, and I know kids that are planning on taking it after just an Honors class. I’m taking it June and well, I DID take the AP test this year, but the material seems much easier for SAT II.

I would recommend Cliffs AP if you’re planning on taking an AP Bio course eventually at a different school, but it has more information than needed for SAT II. I bought the PR book and it seems quite straight-forward and easy, although it is written for a lower-caliber of student than the AP PR book. It’ll be quick to read through the PR, so I’d recommend it.

Also, I’d recommend taking the Sparknotes practice tests, but you need an account (if you’re not comfortable with this, then just do the two in your review book and maybe take one at the bookstore with another review book). There are some mistakes in the questions (as in, it’ll say you got it wrong, but there’s a mistake in the system and you actually got it right). However, it may be good for showing you what you need to focus on.

Good luck! I hope this helped.
