Can anybody make suggestions on which Biology test I should take. At first I was thinking that I should take Biology M b/c my AP Bio teacher recommended it but after looking through PR's SAT biology, I don't think that Bio E is very hard. Its difficult for me to choose because on the average score on M is higher than E. What test should I take Bio E or M, and please state why?

Biology M. The material in Biology E does look a lot easier, but Biology M is what every biology class focuses upon the most. Personally, I am going to take Biology M this June simply, even though it is “harder” material, that’s like the basis of my biology knowledge. It just depends on whatever you’re most comfortable with. Take practice tests to see.

^thanks

any1 else have any suggestions

Ecology looks easy, but i did practice and realized i didn’t know any of it. So i’m going to take M because that’s what my class focuses on too.

There is usually a better curve on M, i think.

I think most people are more comfortable with the molecular (M) portion; however, if you are currently taking or have taken AP environmental science at your school, I strongly recommend biology E.

When we register for the bio subject test, we just pick E/M right? and then the day of the test we choose which one we want to take?

Yes, that’s right. You pick which test you want to take one the exam day.

DEFINITELY take M. worst idea when i decided to take E in 9th grade.
i’m just gonna use the percentiles as the reason why.
i got a 710 with something like 87 percentile
my friend got a 770 (same test date) with a 88 percentile…
which means 12% of people that day got over 770 while only 13% of people got over 710… obviously M is a lot easier to get a higher score. it’s not necessarily easier material but easier curve

and when my friend tried to comfort me when i got my 710, she said that colleges look at percentiles. BUT THEY REALLY DONT. so dont think that my 710 was nearly equal to my friend’s 770 b/c the percentiles were similar. no one cares about percentiles.

haha sorry. i just got really mad at myself when i found that out b/c no one told me beforehand to take the M. loll
