Hi guys,
i'm planning on taking the SAT II bio M this june. anyone know how many questions you're allowed to miss and still get an 800? will it look really bad to colleges if i don't get an 800(i'm asian btw)? i am in AP bio right now, but we have not covered classification/diversity and animal physiology in depth. any help will be appreciated.

It’s generally recognized that a 77 raw score (out of 80) is required for an 800 on the SAT Biology Subject Test. However, this can change from test to test. The 77 raw means you can omit three, miss two and omit one, or miss one and omit two. I recommend answering every question you are reasonably confident in. If you are left with one or two that you are completely unsure of at the end, leave it/them blank. If you can eliminate a few answers, feel free to guess. Good luck!

EDIT: It won’t look bad if you don’t get an 800. Shoot for a 760+, as Bio has one of the tougher curves of the Subject Tests. I too am taking Bio M in June, and I hope we both do well!

how are you studying for the bio sat ii?

I’m taking AP Biology and studying from CliffsNotes (AP) and Barron’s (SAT).

Taking it tomorrow too. I’m in an extremely rigorous Bio class and doing well, and I’ve looked over AP Bio cliffs, although that part has only been minimal. Hoping I do alright.
