What's the "best" book for students who have deficiencies in their math knowledge and just want a prep book tailored to SAT math that will help them break 600?

I've heard Gruber's Complete SAT Guide 2009 is good? Comments?

As said before, I as well as many other CCers would recommend Gruber's.

Gruber's! I am a "math deficient student" and this has worked wonders for me.

Yes, Grubers! Just get it already!

^ Although, judging by the other posts, some would say that Gruber's isn't very helpful for strong math students looking for better tips.

^ yeah that is why we are recommending it for a "weak" math student.

So what would one recommend for a really strong one? (But not 800 strong)

^If you're really strong then you're just making careless mistakes.

I think the best prep for SAT math is getting used to the "SAT type" math. My math used to be bad when I first started studying for the SAT, but after doing practice tests this summer my math has really shot up just by becoming familiarized with the SAT format.

I did on Barron's Math Workbook every day for three months...and went up 20 points. F that.

is Grubers good for a high 600's M hoping to reach 720+ ?

^yes .
