SAT booklets

I heard somewhere that after people take the SATs say on March 12 that others can buy the booklets and aswers from the collegeboard afterwards. Is this true? And if yes how do I get them?

They only offer that for selected test dates. March 12th isn't one of the selected test dates.

On collegeboard I think you can select the Question and Answer service when you sign up for the test, and they'll send it to you afterwards.

You can order any of the released tests by calling the Order Service at:
(800) 406-4775 (at least the last time I checked...)

Strangely, the Question and Answer Service is only available for the March 12 test for students with disabilities, so I think fireflyscout was right about the availability of that one.

Let's try to generate some really specific information for the forums based on that tests so everyone knows what to expect on the next New SAT.

Pete SAT I tried to dial that number and didn't work. Is there a site or something that I can order it from?

I don't think you can order from a website...I guess I'd just call the main college board number (212) 713-8000 and ask for their SAT order services number...sorry that one didn't work.

The College Board discontinued the sale of released exams many months ago. Could it be that the poor guy who was stuffing the envelopes was overwhelmed by the orders of CC members who took advantage of the service while it existed? TCB toyed with the idea of transferring the sale of released tests to ETS, but they never did it.

It is worth calling ETS and inquire with the same department that sells past PSAT booklets.

As far as generating specific information, it may be wise to remember that the new SAT represents a mere evolution of the old SAT. TCB and ETS did not toss their vast collection of questions in the garbage or organize a garage sale on their frontlawns in Princeton. A LOT of questions will be recycled and will continue to appear next to the small percentage (about 5 to 10 %) of new questions. Astute followers of the SAT believe that TCB made sure to cover all the new topics in the new study guide. Anyone who masters the tests that appear in the book won't be surprised, unless it is very positively.

I have no doubt that the March 12 test will be much easier in math and a bit more difficult in verbal -no big surprise for verbal, the CR in the book is a tad too easy.

thanks for the update xiggi...I had no idea the CB had discontinued sales of old tests.

did anyone notice they reused the CR passage about that chinese-American author and Waverly in test 2 of the 8 reals. I remember seeing it in the 10 reals.

Yeah, I noticed some math problems from 10 Real also...

"I have no doubt that the March 12 test will be much easier in math and a bit more difficult in verbal -no big surprise for verbal, the CR in the book is a tad too easy."

wow...I pray that you're right about this...verbal is my strongpoint....especially sentence completions and grammar correction...
