First of all, I’m really sory, I didn’t see this thread and wrote now one.
I’m a foreign student and I’m planning to get Sat and Sat subject tests in next year. I wanted to buy prep books but my head got really confused. So please, can you suggest them like a list?

Is the Official “Blue Book” the best book to prepare for the SAT?

Help me please I am really confused.

So I have a few questions.
I bought
PWN The SAT Math and Essay Guide
Dr. John Chung’s Math SAT book
The Insider’s Essential Guide to SAT Critical Reading and Vocabulary: Larry Krieger
The Ultimate Guide to SAT Grammar
Eight Multiple Choice SAT Writing Tests: The Companion Workbook to The Ultimate Guide to SAT Grammar
And the Blue book 2nd edition a while ago.

I’m going to start with the Larry Kreiger book and PWN the SAT Math Guide together first after doing the 1st practice test in BB as a diag.
Then I’ll move on to the Ultimate Grammar Guide and lastly the PWN essay guide.
I’m going to keep practice test 2 and 3 for full tests later on and keep 4-10 for sections only.

I’m taking the Jan SAT and March SAT, I don’t know how fast I should go through these books along with the BB tests and if I should take notes (I think I should). I also have a science fair project that I’m doing between Jan and Feb.
Please help

I’ve only just begun to think about studying for the SAT; however, I’ve managed to compile a list of 24 books that appear beneficial in earning me a high score on the test. Which ones should I order, and which ones should I scrap?

Of course, I’ve already ordered the Blue Book (2nd Edition) and Online Course to introduce me to the format of the test, but I’m aware those alone are not efficient enough as actual study guides for the exam.

Aw man no one’s helping.

So is The Critical Reader by Erica Meltzer necessary if I already have The Insider’s Essential Guide to SAT Critical Reading and Vocabulary for SAT CR? That’s my only CR book though.

Get Barron’s 26th edition. I have it right now and it’s really well written and easy to comprehend.

As for the others…well, I’m just as confused as you are. :)

Hi everyone, how can I find all the past SAT test? I hav ego tonly a few. can someone share with me

Princeton Review for sure. Really helpful and tells you all you need to know. 10/10 raised my score 150 points

Hi I am an 8th grader preparing to take to take the SAT and I’m looking for a quality book which I can understand and is useful considering my lack of high school knowledge. Could any one help? I looked at some of the guides and almost all of them say to just use the blue book but it doesn’t seem it would help me as much as it would help others with greater knowledge than me.

please anyone knows the links for free e-book download in pdf format??? Please help me out !!! Thank You

Yes the vocab book that your school provides is definitely good. I really liked the Barron’s one because it’s typically more difficult than the actual test. If you really want a feel of what the test is like use Collegeboard’s blue book.

Hi everyone! Kidfood and I are in the same boat here. I am taking Algebra 1 currently but am seeking a prep book that gives the must-knows for math that I haven’t encountered yet. I am seeking a math score of 700+ so please help! Also, what would help for the CR section? I’ll be fine for the writing.

Hey, don’t mean to be a stalker but where are you from? triangles314

Also, out of my research I found that the Barron’s books are pretty good as well as Powerscore and Boot Camp for you Brain is pretty good. I came here to find an alternative to the blue book but most of them suggest to use it so I am still skeptical on what to do.

Hello !!

I am planning to give the sat next year. I just wanted to know if the websters international dictionary is alright for that!

Kidfood I’m from New England but I will PM you. I don’t feel comfortable posting other info… I only have the blue book but online I have found a few resources

I think the blue book is amazing for its practice tests - they’re gold! Which part of the SAT are you looking to improve the most Kidfood?

Whats the best book for practicing english vocabularly?
