Is there any point in receiving a score I won't be satisfied with?

I think I will get around 2100~2200 depending on the curve.

If I'm planning to retake the SAT until I get 2300 above, am I better off canceling my score?

On a side note: How possible is it that I'll get an 800 with -1 on math..
or -1 on writing with 9~10 essay?

Have you taken the SAT before?

I wouldn’t cancel…

I have never taken a real SAT before. I’m only a junior, so I’m not really in a hurry…

Would 2100 to 2300 have no difference from one time 2300?

No, because you may never get a 2300.
Better safe than sorry.

Just keep the current score, 2100-2200 is good. While it is not YOUR standards, it is GOOD. trust me.

Keep this score and just retake the SAT if you feel like you can do much better.

Plus, you don’t really know what you got until the score comes out (obviously), so what IF it’s a 2300?!

haha… I might keep this… just to have that 780~790 in math and writing backing me up… so I only have to work on CR.

I literally bombed my CR. I was like… traumatized when 3 out of my first 4 sections were CR. (one was experimental)
And… I started my essay on page 3 instead of page 2. Would this affect my essay score? I did write down “page 3 -> page 2” just for the reference.

No joke, I prayed for my experimental to be writing, but no go :(

i don’t think starting on pg 3 would make a difference.

but if im correct, the sat ppl only gave us 2 pages for essay? how did you fit everything on one page? (unless u wrote only a page, that is)

I didn’t fit everything on one page. I started writing on page 3 and then went to page 2. Why? I have no clue.

Oh, well if you mentioned it, I think it should be fine…

consider yourself lucky that it isnt a machine graded essay ROFL

I just have a different expectation than you… There’s nothing wrong with that. I’m not saying 2100 or 2200 is a bad score. I just think I can do better, and you, too.

if u cancel … do u get ur money back ? if not … what is the point of canceling ?

No you don’t get your money back. However, the test is not graded and not reported to any colleges.

Keep it. You could use it for a superscore. Take this from a senior who only has 2180 to fall back on… it’s better than nothing… gets depressed

(Aiming for 2300+ too)

Also, try investing in betablockers. It might help you calm down (coming from a musician/nervous testtaker)
