If you haven't heard, the SAT is planning to be changed in 2016. They will be going back to the old scoring of 1600. I HEARD they will have a variety of essays to write on. Also the vocabulary section is suppose to be easier since in the last couple of years, students struggled in that section. My problem is I will be taking it in 2016 and don't know if companies will have prep books ready by then. If you have heard about this change or know more detail, please share some advice for me and the others who will be taking it in the future.

ya im scared too, im a rising sophomore. college board will probably release a lot of information about it though

Thank you @xiggi

Do you guys think after this SAT change, colleges may not look at the scores. Since they’ll have to start a new database for the scores. And if the SAT is meant to be easier now and you are doing excellent on the current one, I don’t think it’ll be hard to get a 1600. With that said how will colleges compare the new comers with their old stats when rarely people got a perfect score.

I am a rising sophomore who is planning to take the SAT before it changes. The reason why I am planning to do so is because of the simple dearth of complied data. Although I am not aware of the specifics, it is clear that there will be some sort of a transformation. Test takers will simply not have the enough materials to practice with. Just tick with the current one.
