<p>when do u get accused of cheating on the sat?
is it 400+ pt increase or 500 + pt increase?</p>

<p>well my sister is actuallytaking the sats for the 2nd time…she got a 1750 the 1st time…know she in the 2150-2180 range…she gonna take the sat inoctober…she has to get those scores immediately b/c she is applying early decision to a a school. so would u happen to know if it is 400 or 500 pts?</p>

<p>Please post these kinds of questions in the appropriate forums. Also, your question doesn’t make any sense. Why would who be suspicious of what kind of cheating simply because the score had increased?</p>

<p>@f0ssil His question does make sense. Huge score increases do get flagged on the SATs sometimes, which could delay scores which would be a big problem for someone applying early to a school.</p>

<p>That’s bad to hear. I hope people don’t get delayed for a big increase for too long, especially seniors taking it in october, they might not make it for applications.</p>

<p>I called collegeboard and foundout:
they flag ur scores if u improve 200+ on any section or if you improve or if any 2 sections exceeds 400 points more than the previous test…i think my sister should be fine…</p>

<p>I thought it was 250+ on each section? I run an SAT tutoring company and the kid I tutored last month went up 200 points on writing alone and wasn’t flagged as far as we know (he got his scores the same day as everyone else).</p>

<p>I don’t remember. But I guess that it wasn’t 400 in all so they didn’t consider it to be cheating. Plus his original was 1610 so even though he went up a lot, it still wasn’t some miraculous incredible new score.</p>
