Hi,
I just got my SAT 2 results and I got
Math II - 800
Chem - 730

Is this ok for MIT? (chem) I saw that their range is from 750 -800 for science...

Thanks !

There a thousand and one threads that answer this question.

MIT only uses test scores as an indication that you can handle the courseload. Beyond that, they decidely do not use them as a metric to compare students.

I got a 710 on Chemistry and am currently a senior at MIT. It is definitely ok. You have nothing to worry about at all. Believe me the difference between that and an 800 for a high school applicant is zero. Focus on making yourself stand out!

Thank you both!

What about a 660 on SAT physics. I know that’s a bad score, but would it really hurt my application ??
