SAT Class for ACT

There wasn't a class for the ACT locally so I am taking one for the SAT, even though I plan on taking the ACT. Will this mess me up? Will it be helpful? I'm not completely sure how the studying for the tests differs.

Hmmm interesting...

Well, I'm no expert (obviously), but i would say that is better than no prep at all. Have you considered taking BOTH tests since most colleges accept ACT or SAT. Also, you may find out that you are better at one test over another, and send your best scores.

I think the ACT goes up to Trig, while the SAT does not, so you're not going to get the best Math prep out of an SAT course. Also, you won't get any science prep with SAT...

So, whatever you do, you might want to consider taking the SAT in addition since that's what the class is. Just a thought.

studying for the SAT WILL be helpful, because usually the SAT is more sneaky than the ACT. but you should still try to grab the "real ACT" book and practice from there

Why don't you do an online ACT class? That would make a whole lot more sense. The tests are quite different.
