Well, I am trying to improve my CR score by reading literature, but, unfortunately, I read

To Kill a Mock.
Lord of Flies
Fahreinheit 451
Great Gatsby
Of Mice and Men

Of Mice and Men was the last novel I finished. After reading those books ESPECIALLY,Of Mice and Men, I feel EXTREMELY DEPRESSED for the first time in my life(Is this normal??). I feel that the human race should be wiped out forever.

Are all books like these??

Should I stop reading??

Also, Steve Jobs' death. I feel reading literature is destroying my and other's lives.

Please, I need advice. I feel like comitting suicide.

^ You need SAT 2 Lit. books??

I have a list of ones that appeared in previous exams.

In of Mice and Men: That was a really sad story, I wish they just ran away, and Lennie tended to his rabbits.

As for suicide, I dont plan on suiciding till I fulfill my dream.

Btw, Do you know any GOOD and CHEERFUL novels. I am planning on reading the scarlet letter, which apparently looks one hell of a sad novel.

^ Oliver Twist, a beautiful classic that has a happy ending. You should read it.

^ I will give it a try. I started Scarlet letter ,and ,apparently, it looks like one hell of a novel that I cant understand a word from.

Hey…

So I improved a lot just by practice.

haha i never actually read any of those novels even though we were assigned to read them. I skimmed most of them, not even completely, prolly like half of each book… then sparknotes for the test haha…

Was able to pull off a 600 CR last june, and hoping for 650-700 reading from oct 1…

Tbh, reading is good, but I think novels are a waste of time and are purely for ppl who want to escape world through literature. Reading newpapers and tech magazines etc on the other hand is good.
