SAT CR Jan 2008

it was vividly descriptive.

i didnt know about "imaginative"...i thought that the translation should adhere to the author's original meaning

so i just put sensitive to author's genius....not too sure on that problem

I'm getting all the questions jumbled in my head, but I remember putting something about "insisting that the works be read in their original language" since the European people disliked litteral translations and wanted to show that their own language was just as good at showing the meaning of the writing pieces.

WHAT??!?!?!?!!? i though garish was the answer...

somoene said the physics one was experimental... waht did that passage actually talk about??? I had 4 CR's but dont remember which physics one

i put "adhere to the author's orginal meaning"

yeea the physics one had to be experimental cuz i didnt get that one & i had an experimental math section

i said it was descritvie because money bags meant they looked like money bags, they were oramental or excessie by any means but who knows, i hate CR but i do well on them

which math section was experimeental?

garish implies excessive ... flamboyance, right? i dont think its garish.
conceive?

The physics passage was about objective reality

what was that writing question wtih the "final miles were....blahblah" was it no error?

So for the one on the european authors and their opinion of the other writing, i put preserving the original author's genius... I really hope that was right

it was no error

i thought garish meant too flamboyant in the appearance of the word. because instead of just the word "celery" its something more colorful or flamboyant, like "codoroy plant"..........am i wrong?

thanx nrhk. thought no one would remember that one.

conceive - to produce something from the mind such as an emotion
to form an idea or concept of something in your mind

what was "desirous" one of the answers to the Writing section

dunno, both of them kinda work, thats the problem with cr

that one was derious right?

collegepanic-
yea cuz it should be desirable
