SAT: CR+MATHS or CR+MATHS+W????

Hey all, i applied to Lehigh in RD. And my SAT Score is pretty bad because of my writing section!

1st SAT- CR: 670 M: 750 W: 560 (1420/1600, 1980/2400)
2nd SAT - CR: 690 M: 770 W: 610 (1460/1600, 2070/2400)
3rd SAT - CR: 690 M: 780 W: 550 (1470/1600. 2080/2400)

My Critical reading and Maths component have been relatively fine for the 1600 scale! But my writing section has been consistently the poorest (guess its because English is not my first language, but rather my third language).

Does lehigh view our SAT scores with more regard towards the CR+M component or do they look at the entire CR+M+W components?

please help a worried kid from Borneo. :)

I’m fairly certain that Lehigh only looks at CR+M. Which means you ought to be fine- your scores are exceptional, especially for someone with English as a third language. Good luck!

Lehigh doesn’t look at your writing scores, don’t worry about it at all. Your SAT’s are really good! even by Lehigh standards.

Thanks a lot. I ll keep that in mind and keep on hoping.

Even if Lehigh did weigh writing as much as the other sections, it wouldn’t matter. Kids are accepted with lopsided SAT scores all the time. I know one who got an 800 in math but only a 560 in CR, and he got in.

Keep in mind that Lehigh does not rely on SAT scores the way some universities do – they are more interested in the whole package.
