<p>It is D because the passage is basically saying how people only see the place as a tourist attraction because they see Shakespeare’s image on tv and on money. Most people do not know who he is or what he is known for, they just recognize him. With the last sentence, the author is alluding to this lack of knowledge of the general public, by saying Shakespeare “even wrote plays,” as if its just a side job he does when not appearing on tv or currency.</p>
