I was surprised by my SAT scores I got back today. I reached my goal in reading and writing and got a 600 on each part. Math, however, didn't go so well. I ended up with a 500. So in the 2 part I got a 1100 and the 3 part I got a 1700; not too great. Should I sned these score in, in hopes that I retake ad do better in math and get superscored?

yeah i say go for it

if you send your scores after your second taking, the score report will include all your scores – this first test as well as your second test. why pay for two reports?

Thanks, iamhere, thats definetly what I’ll do.

You might want to think about trying the ACT too. One of my kids did way better on ACT math than SAT math – the equivalent of 100 points higher. If you don’t like your ACT score, you don’t have to tell colleges about it. (If you decide to do this, take a sample ACT test before you do the real thing, just so you’ll get a chance to see the science section, and get used to that kind of questions.)

Definitely take the ACT. I know that based on this year’s results your current scores make you very iffy for Stonehill. If you are looking for merit scholarship money from Stonehill pretty much forget it. The numbers they show on their brochure to get a scholarship are no where near reality. You need about a 1400 / 1600 or a 31+ ACT to get much (along with a very high GPA).

Very good school, but the competition is very high.
