<p>My scores in CR and W are abysmal. On the January SAT I got a 630 in CR and 620 W (10 essay/ 58MC) </p>

<p>In CR I missed the most points in passage based reading(-9).
In sentence completion, I missed 4.</p>

<p>I don't want to do any more vocab so please, don't recommend DH.</p>

<p>In writing, I missed the most points in Improving Sentences (-6).
In IDing sentence errors, I missed 2 and in improving paragraphs I missed 3.</p>

<p>What's the best way to prepare for passage based reading and improving sentences? I've already read silverturtle's guide and Grammar Smart by PR, which didn't really seem to help me all that much.</p>

<p>I'm retaking in March, so any advice?</p>

<p>Well I used Silverturtle’s guide and went from a 460 to 750 writing. I would reread that if I were you. For CR, I’m having similar problems. My advice is just do more practice.</p>
