SAT Critical Reading help

Here's the deal. When I do CR, I score around 600 on the practice tests. I usually only miss two or three Sentence Completion questions, it's passage based reading where I fall apart. Does anyone have any tips to read. I don't think the problem is time (obviously time is not usually a limiting factor on this test), it's reading correctly.

Annotate you passages, specifically focusing on main ideas.

Try to predict the answer before your read the answer choices. A lot of answer choices are specifically designed to tempt you.

I try to focus on only the choices supported by the text that don’t make too many assumptions. Some seem like they might be right, but aren’t fully backed by the passage. Also, make sure you use only the sentence or paragraph each question asks for in answering it, or only the portion of the passage read up to that portion, because you may choose an incorrect answer otherwise.
