Sat critical reading help!!!

I just want to ask what is the best way to improve my SAT score in critical reading besides reading books and taking the practice tests... thanks. I want to get some info to people out there who got a near perfect score in the critical reading. Tell me. What is your secret of getting a high score? thanks.

Lets see... read the NY Times because this has excellent SAT words and is hard to read, as hard as the SAT reading passages. The writing is complex as well, so reading the NY Times helps in both sections! The SAT mimics the sentence completion sentences off newspapers such as the NY Times. For the passages, recoginze the types of questions, such as Main Thought, Inference, Vocabulary, etc. Also memorize like atleast 400 SAT words, get this book: Hot Words it really helps, also get the Official SAT Book by College Board (the big blue fat book). You can even go online and just search top words shown up on the SAT and you will find hundreds of links.

Just do practice tests and if you review your previous tests well enough, you will see how the error on the subsequent ones will start to abate
