SAT Critical Reading Strategies?

Hi,

I'm taking the SAT this saturday, and my Math and Writing sections are above 700(Low-Mid 700s), but my Critical Reading sections are in the 590-650 range.

Does anyone have any strategies to use during the long passages and the dual passages. I think i'm better with the long passages than the dual passages, but can you give me some strategies on analyzing the passages more efficiently and quick.

Note: My current strat is to jot one or two word notes beside each paragraph, which helps me to concentrate more on the passages.. I usually finish the entire section omitting one-two problems per section, but get 3-6 wrong, which drops my score a lot.

BUMP

Someone Please ANSWER???

I used to suck at the dual passages too (they were my main weakness).
With questions like these:

How would the author of passage 2 respond to lines 19-24 of passage 1?

I would search for evidence in passage 2 for something relevant to line 19-24 (of passage 1). Even these “tricky” questions can be supported by text, you just have to look for it!

thanks

as of now im just going to keep practicing until saturday, screw resting the day before

On practice tests I’ve been getting 740-800 usually. I underline the text the questions refer to. That is all. It helps a lot. The key though is just remembering that every answer is going to be supported by the passage.
