Is the SAT curve in each section going to be better in MAY than it was in MARCH? I know no one knows for sure, but I'm assuming most of the "advanced" kids took it in March and are probably done, do you think MAY might have a more "normal curve?"

that makes sense. but im not getting my hopes up. thats what CB wants us to do... and then BAM they'll crush our dreams lol.

i guess by CB standards though, the curve for the march sat wasn't mean. okay math was kinda gross. and writing was tough. verbal was relatively generous though. i would expect it to stay the same.

The way they calculate the curve for SATs don't change because of the pool of people that take the test each time. They make it so that the test has been standardized over a long period of time. (Read the CB site). The site says specifically that the SAT is standardized so that it DOES NOT matter who else is taking the test during that administration.

Therefore, you should probably expect the curves to be similar, because it doesn't matter if all the "advanced" kids took it in March.

hmm... then shouldn't the curve always be the same for every sat administration?

all i know is that the curve will take each form into account and therefore form to form there will be a different curve.

i think thats so weird how my WHOLE score could be changed based on which test my proctor chose to give me --- had she given me a different form, I may do worse or better -- and its not all random how they hand out the tests ---- so that's ridiculous in my opinion

i was talking to friends today and we thought we should overthrow collegeboard and form our own test -- one that is cheaper, actually tests knowledge you need to know in the future, and has a score people will actually understand......i think colleges only use the SAT (or the ACT for that matter) cause collegeboard is the ONLY company to monopolize the testing industry --- i wish there was a law or an act against monopolies of pointless tests....or is there? :-D

that is scary!

yeah that is scary

Lets do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(But a 1400+ would be a nice back up plan, you know)

oh %*^$ file it with the US. Lobby your senator now to investigate College Board's Monopoly.

lol by 1400+ u mean 2100+ right?
