SAT cutoff

hardly anyone other than athletes, development admits, legacies, and to a lesser extend URMs get in with less than 1400

crap....1370, non-URM, non-athlete

hope 32 ACT would help...

I mean standardized tests are SO meaningless....i hope my grades, course rigor and ECs would make up

I just wanna get in ED and get this whole stressful process over it

when is my acceptance gonna come....

grrrrrrrrrrr

sorry, i have never picked up on the lingo, i'm still pretty new, what is a URM?

Unique Red Monkey.

just j/k. underrepresented minority such as african americans, native americans and hispanics.

My elitism? I'm sorry if I'm trying to inject the truth....

hahahaha...jus' kidding...wanted to see the reaction....

Personally, I think 1300+ is a pretty good score, and NO, Princeton does not have a cutoff.

oh ur a naughty child. freud would say u werent spanked enough. :)

lol im late to mention that that was sarcasm (for gregster.) its kinda hard to tell when someone is sarcastic on a forum like this, so its understandable that you thought he was serious. i laughed when i read sr6622's statement, and i laughed even harder at gregster's.

Yeah...I like to see what people have to say at times to certain things...keeps it interesting

Also, Freud's got nothing on me...:D

Lol, you know that it all boils down to incest (those who dont know wat im talking about...pysch).

I really doubt there is a cutoff. They look for other things too and standardized tests are only an aspect of the admissions process. Even if one were slightly weak in the aspect of tests, one can make it up in academics or extracurriculars.
After looking through a lot of the forums, there seems to be an overwhelming conception that high SAT scores are the only way of getting into the top schools. I believe that to be false because SATs don't measure true potential or even skill, and if colleges focus too much on tests, they might as well recruit the people who could practice for a test well but may be lacking in academics or other areas.
