I requested ONLY the 1st test score to be sent to Stanford 10 days before deadline (no rush)
As of now, IF Stanford gets the test scores in time, they will only get the 1st test score.

I'm wondering if I send both scores in as a rush

Pros -
If stanford looks at ONLY the highest scores, my score is now 2200
The score will definitely make it in before deadline

Cons -
The decreases are pretty big (***!!) and the 2nd scores are not even in their range
I mentioned in the application that I would be taking a 2nd test, and not sending the 2nd score could be bad

So should I send in the scores as a rush the 2nd time or no?
Any background knowledges you have or opinion would be AWESOME

kyledavid had mentioned that Stanford doesn’t want rush scores, and I did find that reference last night - apparently rush scores are on paper, the standard ones are electronic, and they only want the electronic version.
Another post said that electronic scores arrive much faster than the CB says, so a rush isn’t needed.
All that being said, I agree these scores don’t really help… I didn’t know you could pick which parts to send but if you can, send the M along

when we attended the info session on campus, the admissions officer said that they take the highest individual component scores from all SAT attempts and come up with best possible score (superscore) . So, don’t worry..even if you chose to send both scores they take your highest which is 2220.
we don’t have any expereince with rush scores …I can’t comment on that.

I made the request for the 1st score to be sent before the 2nd score came out, and when I checked my request history, the 2nd score is not being sent.
thanks guys, but I would like more replies too~

i would not as both cr and writing went down for you by a lot on the second time. Math was already high and it going up will not change your chances that much.

If Stanford takes the highest scores from multiple sittings (superscores) then go ahead and send the second scores. Many schools do not want rushed scores because they are paper reports sent snail mail, while reports ordered without rushing are electronic and received as fast or faster. If you can’t find the info you need on their website, call and ask if they superscore; if so, ask them how they prefer to receive the scores.

Don’t rush don’t rush don’t rush. CB is a big enough Monopoly already..don’t feed it more money. Do send both scores, Stanford considers the highest one (it says so on the application).

For people in same situation as I am in, always send your score, no matter what the situation is. Sending in scores will NEVER hurt you, says a head admission person, whatever the credential to that may be.
