Sat distractions

If you notify college board of distractions during the test, what will they do about it (if anything)?

During my test, there was a football game and marching band like right outside. Additionally, the kid behind me had an extremely loud, wracking cough. To make it worse, my proctor suggested that she turn on a "noise maker" machine so as to "block" the noise outside.

I was definitely distracted, but is notifying college board going to result in anything?

Possibly, with your conditions, it seemed like there was WAYYYY too much distraction!

the most i had was an unruly kid who challenged the proctor on everything she said

If I tell college board will they like cancel my score or something? B/c I’d kind of like to know how I did first lol.

During my test today, a kid was stupid enough to come with a severe hangover while being high at the same time.

Yeah…he threw up during the middle of a section.

We had to switch rooms and our school called College Board but they said our scores wouldn’t get cancelled.

I don’t know about your situation though :/

Definitely contact the Collegeboard. A football team and marching band is way to severe of a distraction, ESPECIALLY since the teacher decided to put on a noise machine after that. That is exremely unusual (and loud), and you should contact the office of testing integrity IMMEDIATELY so that the proctor, school, football team, etc can be contacted promptly and resolve the situation quickly. The seniors who need to send their SATs in soon will be furious if their scores are significantly delayed.

wait, so does that mean contacting the collegeboard about this will result in delayed scores?

It would only result in canceled scores, no?

Marching band started practicing at around section 8 where I was testing. Wasn’t too loud though.
