SAT Essay Length vs. Score

<p>I wrote until the very last line on both the March and May SAT...so both two pages were covered, and each had a conclusion. I got a 12 in March and an 11 for the May.</p>

<p>this is great info...screw what i've been doing and write a ton! but i don't think i can get 78 again on writing MC...oh well, i hate the SAT.</p>

<p>Confidential--gosh you should see my May sat essay (not that I've seen it again yet... i want my score!)... but now i'm paranoid, i wrote really small and really fast...and a lot...but idk if it's even legible. ::sigh::</p>

<p>I guess I'm used to timed essay writing because I'm in IB, so for social studies, we have to write 2 essays in 40 minutes. Usually, my essays are like...a little less than 4 pages each (2 pages front and back) and it's all just spitting out info in a coherent manner.</p>

<p>i filled both pages with microscopic handwriting and still had 5-10 minutes left. it really just takes practice.</p>

<p>What if someone wanted to write more than 2 pages? Are there 2 pages, front and back? Do you ask for more paper if you need it, like for an AP essay?</p>

<p>Nope, you are limited. From what I'm hearing, given you write 2 pages, you will get 10+. Granted you have to have content to fill the two pages.</p>

i had friends that scored 10s with 1 good example and i scored an 8 with several bad examples..</p>
