SAT Essay Prompt Archetypes

I’m reading these and have no idea what I could use for examples. I’m not exactly an avid reader. So screwed for tomorrow

Wow, this is neat.

It’s obvious that the exact prompts on test day will differ, but is it possible to generalize the subjects of the prompts to be ready for any type of prompt? And Brolex, you can use anything for your examples (literature, history, t.v., music, sports, pop culture, life expieriences etc.) but I think it’s recomended to have an example of literature, history, and life expieriences. I’m sure you can make up something as well, it’s not like the proctors are going to make you sign a statement assuring the college board that you are telling the truth.

One more question: Technically, couldn’t one write about anything, no matter how explicit, and still get a 12 (assuming that they supported their examples well, had good organization etc.)? Note that This is more of a trivial question c:

bumping this - good resource to casually think of examples and study for tomorrow

Use 3 monomyths as your supporting examples in the essay. They are so vast you can tie them to anything. Ex: Huck Finn, LOTR

Bump for tomorrow’s test!

im taking the sat next week. thank you so much for this. the essay has always been the bane of my existence (SAT Vocab Word: Bane)

A good way to prepare for the essay portion is to come up with examples and group the prompts in categories for which you can use those examples for.

Right off the bat after skimming through the prompts I noticed two that I could use with Huck Finn.

 1. Can people truly be original?
 2. Do we really benefit from every event or experience in some way?

I’m sure that if I take my time to actually seriously consider the prompts and think of examples, I can divide those prompts into 5-8 categories in which I can use the same examples through it.

It won’t guarantee a great score but at least you have a number of examples ready for a general topics of the prompt.

thank you so much

does anyone have any examples for individuality( that could work with any of them)

you sir deserve a medal  thanks for the resource and greatly appreciate it.

Thank you!
