SAT essay

<p>Can you just blatantly make up examples. An example of this would be too make up the name of a book and fictitiously create it's content to suit the essay prompt you are given and then to extract from this "book" whatever you want to support your stance...</p>

<p>Will the graders bother to check the authenticity of your examples? </p>

<p>Another case, will you be penalized for incorrect information in a popular literary/historical example, for instance you forgot the name of the characters in Great Gatsby or whatever, and so you made them up, or if you forgot what year the XYZ drought occurred and so put a guesstimate of the actual year.(Assuming the readers of your essay are well informed on the examples you chose to present).</p>
